  1. ETG Way - Our Practices

Working Remotely

At ET Group, about half of our roles are 100% remote, providing our team members with the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. While more customer-facing and technical roles may require a physical presence, we still strive to offer flexibility and support for remote work wherever possible.

In this guide, we will explore some of the key principles that we believe make remote work successful at ET Group:

Work From Anywhere

One of the main benefits of remote work is the ability to work from anywhere. This provides our team members with the opportunity to spend more time with loved ones, eliminate lengthy commute times, save money, reduce stress, increase productivity, and so much more.

Communicate Asynchronously

We believe that asynchronous communication is the key to productive and focused remote work. Instead of relying on real-time communication that can lead to constant interruptions and drain morale, we prioritize sending messages and not expecting an immediate response. Asynchronous communication leads to more control over our workdays, higher quality communication, better planning, less stress, and deeper work becoming the default.

Personal Office Hours Over "Always Available"

Just because someone works remotely, it does not mean they are available to answer questions at any time. It is important that remote team members create work schedules that allow for work-life separation at home.

Look at Actual Work Over Butts in Seats

We believe that everyone gets work done in different ways, and we prioritize looking at the actual work done over whether team members were online from 9 to 5.

Participating in Virtual Team Building Activities

To combat the challenges of limited chances to meet up in real life, we have adopted a number of proactive methods to create greater personal connections. We have a number of virtual spaces that allow us to hang out, socialize, and bond.

In-Person Meet Ups are Just as Important

While virtual team building activities are valuable, we also value the chance to meet up and spend time with each other in real life. We host team connects and events that help everyone get connected, create strong relationships, and most importantly have fun.

Creating a Foundation of Trust

At ET Group, we believe in building a powerful foundation of trust that fosters an environment where team members feel fully supported by their colleagues and the organization. We do not believe in employee monitoring and tracking tools designed to keep a watchful eye on your activities. Instead, we trust our team members to do their best work and provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed.
